About the Conference
The accelerating pace of technological advancement presents both opportunities and challenges for the global research community. Artificial intelligence, data analytics, and biotechnology are reshaping the landscape of inquiry, innovation, and decision-making. Yet amid this transformation lies a pressing imperative: to ensure that technological progress does not compromise human dignity, social justice, or moral integrity. Within the Seventh-day Adventist research tradition, anchored in holistic health, stewardship, and service, there is a unique responsibility to examine how equity and ethics can be re-centered as guiding principles in the research process itself.
What do we hope to achieve in this conference?
The objectives of the conference are:
- To critically examine the ethical implications of emerging technologies within the context of Adventist values of human dignity, stewardship, and service.
- To explore frameworks for equity-centered research that address issues of inclusion, representation, and justice in Adventist scholarship and institutional practice.
- To showcase best practices and case studies demonstrating how Adventist researchers are navigating technological transformation while maintaining commitments to integrity and community well-being.
- To build collaborative networks and capacity for ethical leadership, policy development, and interdisciplinary research within Adventist academia and beyond.
- To reaffirm the role of Adventist scholarship as a moral and spiritual witness in the global research landscape, advocating for technology that serves humanity rather than the reverse.
